Apple and AT&T to face another lawsuit on MMS

iPhone manufacturer Apple and US telecom giant AT&T has been sued by a consumer who has complained that he has been fooled by the companies to let him believe that iPhone already had MMS support with it. This is a third of this type of case which has been filed against these companies.

‚ÄúWe absolutely will offer MMS on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G with 3.0 upgrades in late summer, once we complete some system upgrades that will ensure our customers have the best experience with MMS,” an AT&T representative said in a statement cited by Wired.

In fact, Apple has enabled MMS support in its iPhone OS 3.0, which was launched on June 17, as MMS support has been enabled in a large number of countries of the world, but AT&T has not activated this feature yet but it was not notified until June 8 this year. We think these types of lawsuits were filed against both companies because users were not informed earlier about non-activation of this feature by AT&T.
