With the exponent growth in the usage of advanced mobile phones which run sophisticated operating systems like Windows Mobile, Android, Symbion and other platforms, users have become more vulnerable to mobile malware threats.

Many of today’s mobile phone users do not understand the security protection they need against the malware threats which can cause them a serious damage, contacts and personal data loss are some of them, web threat infections and phishing are also included in the list of threats a mobile user can face.

According to a survey conducted by Trend Micro, one of the top security company who makes anti-virus and security softwares, only 23% percent of smartphone users uses the security software which is pre-installed on their smartphones. Smartphone users think that malware related threats can only be faced on their personal computers and its totally safe to browse the internet on their smartphones.
