Microsoft Corporation has just slashed the price of its high-end Xbox 360 model by $100, showing its interest to gain share in game sales. Microsoft has planned to phase out its mid-range Pro console, after that Microsoft will have two models available in the market, Xbox 360 will be available on a reduced $100 price of $299.99 and other model available will be the entry-level Arcade model for $ 199.99.

The game market might gain some momentum after months of slump, game users will get some sort of incentive to buy Microsoft Xbox models despite the recession in game industry, it will hopefully be able to boost its sale especially in the coming holiday season.
