
Nokia is going to introduce its new smart phones based on open source Linux software, which is expected to be in the market in October this year.
The news is that Nokia is going to launch its new N900 phone based on Linux platform, which can be seen as a challenge to iPhone in future, as this is going to be a more advanced and sophisticated phone as compare to Nokia’s current smart phones, which are based on Symbion operating system.
Currently there are phones available with variety of open source operating systems, the famous operating systems are Symbion, Android, and the paid one, Microsoft Windows Mobile OS.
Nokia is currently struggling hard to increase its revenue, as the company’s profit is currently in declining trend, Nokia’s entry in other product’s market like Netbook can also be seen as an effort to overcome the current slump in its Gadgets market.
