In a latest development, US authorities have revised the rules for searching electronic devices including laptops when people enter United States.

According to Homeland Security Department, this new policy will enhance transparency, accountability and oversight of electronic media searches at US ports of entry. But civil liberties group has criticized this new move from US authorities, they have demanded that border security officers should not search laptops, cell phones and other electronic devices with credible cause when people enter in US.
