Microsoft has recently announced that it’s going to launch a new generation of phones based on Windows Mobile in October this year, the phones will be available from 6 October in retails stores world wide.

The new version of Windows Mobile 6.5 will be installed on these mobiles, the latest features included in this software are, graphic interface improvements, user interface has enhancements for touch devices and are mainly based on desktop client softwares, and it also has better capability of accessing value added services like Windows Marketplace for Mobile and Microsoft My Phone.

By launching the new generation of mobile phone, its apparent that Microsoft wants to compete hard, and its not going to give an easy time to its rivals in SmartPhone market. It seems that ultimate target of Microsoft is to unite its Windows desktop operating system and Windows Mobile in a shape of Windows Live, My Phone is also another valuable service offered for smartphone backup and synchronization by Microsoft, which will allow users to replicate their data on to the internet.

Microsoft is always strives to offer new features and services to its users, and its justified to say that Microsoft is a strong rival of Apple, which has a major share in SmartPhone market, its brand iPhone is most widely used smartphone in the globe.
