Apple has released an update for the iPhone operating system on Thursday, bringing the current version of the OS to 3.1.2. Some of the bugs have been addressed in this release including a bug that caused a crash during video streaming.
According to Apple, iPhone OS 3.1.2 is compatible with the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. The update is available by plugging your iPhone into your computer and clicking on the update button in iTunes. Once it’s done, iPhone will restart instantly and it will alert you to a Carrier Settings update.
Update also contains bug fixes and improvements for many other bugs including fix for a patchy issue that may cause the iPhone to not wake from sleep, an issue that may disrupt mobile network services until you restart.
