Reasearch in Motion (RIM) has officially launched its smartphone Blackberry Storm2, first of its kind from RIM, a smart phone with touch screen capabilities.

It has a large 3.25” touch-screen and a 3.2 Megapixal camera with it, Storm2 also offers touch-screen QWERTY style keyboard, which can be used both vertically and horizontally, the set also has a Wi-Fi with it.

As the phone is first of its kind from RIM, it seems that RIM wants to target Apple’s iPhone by adding touch screen features with it, but we have to see whether the users who are familiar with Blackberry’s traditional style and use, will appreciate this move or not, it will be difficult for them to start using an entirely different phone altogether.

Today’s smartphone market is changing rapidly and Apple is successfully keeping the pace to stay ahead in the competition. Considering the features Blackberry Storm2 offers, this phone can be considered as a high-quality competitor to the world’s most popular iPhone brand.
