
This news has come as a surprise for us that Microsoft has already started to work on a future version of its Windows operating system, planned Windows 8 will have 128-bit support with it.
Robert Morgan, a senior staff member of the Microsoft Corporation’s Research team has accidentally leaked this information on his Linkedin profile, a popular social networking site for professionals.
He has described himself as: “Working in high security department for research and development involving strategic planning for medium and long-term projects. Research & Development projects including 128bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan.”
The planned operating system ‘Windows 8’ will enable Microsoft OS to run on faster computers with hi-fi sort of performance. Steve Ballmer has confirmed the news, but he has not disclosed any details on it, release of this new OS is expected in year 2012. He has also confirmed the reports that Microsoft is also planning for upcoming Windows 9.
