A California based car security company has developed an iPhone application and car receiver that will enable users to lock, unlock and start their car remotely using iPhone rather then using car’s key for this purpose.
The product ‘SmartStart’ is developed by Viper, which provides a good alternate for using the keys for car locking, unlocking and starting. This is a major step forward towards switching to iPhone and its related applications.
The smartphone form Apple, iPhone has been used by many automakers for providing driving direction assistance to the drivers. One example of iPhone road navigation system implementation is nav system developed by Pioneer electronics, drivers have to enter the destination address in the phone and then transfer the information to the nav system, which provides them on-screen and voice guidance for their route.
SmartStart system includes a receiver that can be installed on the car and its for sale on Best Buy stores for $499.
