The number of videos viewed on YouTube has crossed 1 billion mark, it has been disclosed by its co-founder Chad Hurley in a video blog. Mr Hurley co-founded the website in 2004 with Steve Chen and Jawed Karim.

YouTube has been negotiating agreements with different movie studios and other sources in its effort to attract more advertisers for its site. YouTube has also resolved some royalty’s issues with musicians in the recent past, it has reached on a deal with UK royalty organization to pay a lump sum amount of money as a royalty of the music hosted on its site.
