
In a latest development, Canonical, the company that owns Ubuntu Linux has announced that it will be launching a Certification program that will aim to train junior level system administrators to administrate a Ubuntu-only system.
“We are really excited to support the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS release with a fresh course and certification program,” said Billy Cina, Director of Training at Canonical.
As you all know Redhat Certifications have been a great success for the last many years. Now Ubuntu certification can also become a very popular certification for network and systems professionals.
The potential of Ubuntu to become operating system of choice in corporate world is immense as this OS has seen a very rapid development in near past, and poses as a great competitor for operating systems like Red Hat Linux currently being used in the enterprise as a commercial OS.
