Reports are that Apple is currently working on a plugin that can replace Adobe Flash for building rich web based applications, named as ‘Gianduia’. Apple introduced Gianduia last summer in the month of June at an event of WOWODC (World of WebObjects Developer Conference).

Currently there is very interesting and hot battle going on between Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight, this seems to be a very interesting addition in the world of rich web apps. Reportedly Apple is already using Gianduia in its apps like iPhone reservation system and Personal Shopping etc.
