Google will soon be selling books online through Google Editions. The start of sale is expected till June this year. Google Editions is designed to let users read books from their desktop computers, laptops or mobile gadgets by using an internet browser.

The launch of this new service is being considered as a great future challenge for Amazon and Apple. As high speed internet has become common, most people prefer to read books online thus making it a potentially large market. By using 3G users can get a very good internet speed to browse the books of their choice.

Google will sell around 12 million scanned books through Google Editions. Many people have shown their concerns over the copyright of the material that will be sold online.
