Web search engine giant Google has announced that it would be offering games like Angry Bird and Zynga Poker on its social site Google+.
Many people were expecting this move from Google as Facebook is also generating a lot of revenue with its games. As this announcement came from Google+, Facebook has also announced the new collection of games.
“We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life,” Google senior vice president of engineering Vic Gundotra said in a blog post.
“When you’re ready to play, the Games page is waiting.”
Google launched its social network site Google+ quite late, but since its launch in June 2011, it has grown very rapidly and now it has more then 10 million of user base. Google has an advantage that it can attract 1 billion existing users to the new site.
